The Abounding Love that Calls us Home

Psalms 5:7 “But as for me, by Your abundant loving kindness I will enter Your House”

We all dream for a sweet home where we can live happily together with our loved ones.  We all even spend crores on building the house that we dream for though we know we will have to leave this house one day. We all know that the house we now live in is not our HOME. Our home is where we would live our lives with our Heavenly Father.

If we are away from our parents, does it not make us excited when we think of going back home and meeting them? Wouldn’t we be so excited and thrilled to be back home? The thought of my home makes me eager and reminds me that my parents are praying and waiting for me to be back. If so our parents, how much would our Heavenly Father long for us to be home with Him?

We know however as sinners we are not eligible to enter into His House. The good news is that we are made eligible through the blood of Christ. We can be Home eternally if we just receive this free gift of salvation and accept Jesus as our Savior.

John 3:16 “ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

God‘s love is so abundant that He sacrificed His only Son for our sins and through the blood of Christ we are sanctified and we can enter the Kingdom of God holy and blameless.

Colossians 1:22 “But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence”.

If we have accepted His grace, we can be sure that we already have a room prepared for us in Heaven. Jesus himself said this in John 14: 2-3 “In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am”. Do we need a greater assurance than this?

Today, let us ask ourselves whether we need to be HOME with our loving Father or should we be away in the darkness. You and I know that it is no good away from home. Jesus says a parable of the prodigal son.  Like the prodigal son we might think that we would be good and happy away from home, but we know the reality. The world and its desires will perish. So if you are into the worldly desires; away from Home always remember that our loving Father is waiting and longing for you at the entrance to receive you. Luke 15: 11-32 elaborates the parable of the Prodigal Son.  And the love of the Father is mentioned in verse 20 “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. “

Let us all prepare ourselves to be Home with our loving Father; he is waiting for you and me. Let us all be together with Him forever and ever.

God Bless!
